Where we’re from and who we are

A group of companies with wide-ranging skills that still has a human touch

SILL Entreprises is a family run group of companies bringing together SMEs which value traditional know-how and flavours such as Malo, Le Petit Basque, Le Gall… to name but a few! Working together to strive for excellence, our 1500 employees are the force behind our success.

OUR VALUES

Headed by the Léon and Falc’hun families, SILL Entreprises has upheld strong family values for over 60 years. Our organisation allows independence and flexibility for each of our businesses and enables each employee to find his or her place in the team. Every day we contribute to the promotion and growth of our local regions, whether it be our homeland of Brittany or the Basque Country, where we are also present. We have also opened two international offices (in Dubai and Singapore) and we constantly innovate with the aim of producing good food to nourish men and women around the world.

INNOVATION, AT THE HEART OF OUR BUSINESS

Across the board, whether it be in production, maintenance, business development, quality control, safety, R&D or technical support, we share one common goal: to maintain exacting standards of quality and rigourousness on a daily basis. We are industry experts and well-known for our know-how. We have partnerships with cutting edge centres of research in France and in Europe in order to constantly improve and develop the quality of our products. Our factories are largely automated, our production lines are computerised and the handling of goods is carried out by robots.

HELPING OUR EMPLOYEES GROW

The respect we have for our products and for the consumer is down to the teams that work for us at SILL Entreprises. We wholeheartedly support equality between men and women and we are always willing to listen to those who express a wish to progress in their career. We are continually on the lookout for people with potential and help them to find the right training course. Some were selected and offered the opportunity of obtaining a professional qualification after several months of training in order to work at our new milk drying facility, SILL Dairy International, in the town of Landivisiau, Brittany.

We adopt a collaborative approach which takes the comments, safety and well-being of our employees into account and results in a very low staff turnover across all our sites.

OUR STRENGTH: FOSTERING THE TALENTS OF THE NEXT GENERATION

To continue growing, our mission is to bring in new recruits and train them so that the next generation can discover and learn about the agri-food industry. We are very active in applying our policy of offering work/study internships to students of all levels: those with diplomas, degrees or post-graduate qualifications. At our headquarters in Plouvien, 6% of our staff are interns (1% over the legal requirements). We also take on young people for work experience, often resulting in the offer of a long-term contract.
